These urns are suitable for storage of ashes of two people and can be placed indoors or outdoors.

Delivery time of the urn

The urn is handmade especially for you by our craftsmen. Therefore, the delivery time of this memorial item is around 2 to 4 weeks. We know from experience that in most cases the urn can be shipped earlier. But to avoid disappointment, we communicate a delivery time of 2 to 4 weeks.

Filling the urn

All accessories for filling and sealing the urn are included. The urn is sealed with high-strength double-sided sealing tape that can be loaded with very high tensile strength.

1. Put the ash bag provided empty in the urn and keep a portion outside. Not using an ash bag is also possible. In that case, skip steps 1 to 3.
2. Use the protruding part as a funnel and pour the ashes into this.
3. Seal the ash bag with the tyrap provided and insert it completely into the opening of the urn.
4. If the ash bag is not used, it is recommended to use a funnel when pouring to avoid spillage.
5. After this, make sure the internal fitting edge of the urn is well free of dust, grease and moisture. Use the cloth provided for this purpose.
6. Remove the protective film from the lid and carefully place it against the edge of the ash container opening.
7. Close the ash container by pressing the lid into the rim in one movement; a properly closed lid should not protrude above the other material. The bottom is now flat.
8. Press the lid firmly and the urn is closed.

Of course, you can also leave the filling of the urn to the crematorium or funeral director. Should the urn need to be opened later for any reason, our technicians can do it for you.

About the material

Bronze is a durable and weather-resistant material. We process the material into sheet material. Various shapes can be created by welding and bending.

Patina
Patina is the coloured oxide layer formed on the bronze after the product is finished. This colour is applied manually and can have many variations in colour. We can supply the colours green and brown. The application of patina has a unique effect on each urn, making each urn unique.

Maintenance

The base material bronze does not decay and therefore requires no maintenance. The coloured patina, however, does.

Green
When a green patina has been applied, only removing dirt with a soft cloth, water and soapy water is sufficient. Do not scrub hard as the layer is fragile. Over the years, the green layer will change and become more even.

Brown
A slightly shiny wax layer is applied over the brown patina. This wax layer stops the oxidation process and prevents the bronze from further oxidising and eventually turning green. If the object is placed indoors, keeping it dust-free is sufficient. Outdoors, the brown patina requires more maintenance. Depending on the location and weather conditions, the wax layer should be touched up at least once every two years. This is done by smearing it with beeswax. Apply beeswax with a cloth, let it soak in and then polish it out.

What about warranty?
We trust our memorial items. The urn is therefore guaranteed for 10 years. All urns come with warranty certificate and filling instructions. 

Can I try the item without any obligation?
Yes, we don't bother with that. On all our memorial items, you have a 30-day reflection period. Don't like the memorial item during this period, or want a different format? No problem. You can exchange or return the item within 30 days of your purchase. 100% not good, money back.

Can I scatter the ashes loose in the urn or is an ash bag required?
You can scatter the ashes loose in the urn or choose to use an ash bag. With ceramic or glass urns, it is wise to use an ash bag in connection with falling or bumping. The urn is made of the highest quality bronze and is therefore very sturdy. The closure is also completely airtight and resistant to high tensile forces. This makes it extremely suitable for placing the ashes loose in the urn.
