Our high-quality collection of ash statues is produced by the artisanal craftsmen of Tingieterij de Geest. This foundry has existed since 1978 when it was founded by owner Gert-Jan de Geest. Gert-Jan was brought up on the craft by his grandfather, who owned a tin foundry himself. The team at Tingieterij de Geest consists of craftsmen with a passion for their trade.
The ash statues in this collection are made of pewter. This is one of the oldest metals used by humans in the manufacture of numerous objects. Whereas it was originally widely used for making weapons, pewter is now widely used for domestic utensils and works of art such as these unique ash statues.
